About Us

We are delighted you are thinking about joining us for worship!

Worship services are casual at Cambria Christian Church. We have a broad array of dress attire; some wear suits and dresses, others as casual as jeans. We have recently added a second service so we can safely spread out as we worship. Our services start with a blended model of music at 9:00 am or 10:30 am. We worship with both the old hymns and more recent songs you might recognize if you listen to contemporary Christian radio. Our vision is to be a multi-generational church where everyone in the entire family can enjoy and worship with their favorite songs. Pastor Jeff teaches a bible-based message with practical application to help us live out our faith during the week. We celebrate communion each week. Services are usually a little over an hour, then you are welcome to hang out and fellowship afterwards. We also invite you to come enjoy a cup of coffee, donuts, and other breakfast items before either service.

If you have children under the age of 13, we have a team of loving volunteers who teach Youth classes from nursery up to 8th grade during both services. Our classes are fun, up-beat classes that includes worship, games, and a bible lesson taught at appropriate developmental levels using a curriculum called Explore the Bible.  See our Kids’ Zone page to learn more about our Youth Ministry!

Our Pastor - Jeff Wiggs

Jeff Wiggs began serving as pastor of Cambria Christian Church in February, 2015.  He is originally from Carterville, IL, and has been involved in ministry around Southern Illinois for the past 15 years.  Jeff graduated from Carterville high school in 1982.  Soon after, he headed West to work in the oil fields of Wyoming and later traveled around the country building power plants.  It was in the fall of 1992, while building a plant outside Lynchburg, Virginia, that Jeff received Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord under the ministry of the late Dr. Jerry Falwell.  In the fall of 1995, he enrolled in Liberty University, located in Lynchburg, VA, and graduated in 2000 with a degree in Biblical Studies.

Over the past 20 years, Jeff has been involved in a variety of ministries including: Inner City Ministry, Prison Outreach, Ministry to drug addicts & alcoholics, Evangelism and Radio Ministry.  One of the many highlights of his walk with Jesus was being baptized in the Jordan River near Galilee, Israel, at the age of 30.  Jeff has a strong passion for helping people come to know Christ as their Savior and Lord, and to experience the abundant life Jesus came to offer us.  Jeff lives in Carterville, IL, with his wife Chrissy, and their two sons, John Michael and William.
